Natural Remedies for Arthritis

There are many natural remedies for arthritis, most of which have been shown by arthritic sufferers, researchers and doctors to help reduce, treat or prevent the symptoms associated with the many types of arthritis disorders and diseases. However, before trying any of these, consult with your doctor first. They are good and do work, but only in some people and cannot be used if you have certain medical conditions or other diseases and that is why a doctor’s recommendation is essential. This list is meant as a supplementary form of information for potential remedies that might help when used alongside treatments given by your doctor. Only substitute what your doctor originally suggests with these remedies if your doctor approves.

The following are natural remedies for arthritis that you should discuss with your doctor:

  • Devil’s claw

  • Epsom salts – 2 cups of salts to a full bath of hot water (not scalding) and soak for about 30 minutes
  • Feverfew

  • Ginseng liquor

However, do not take these unless you have consulted with your doctor. It may sound repetitive, but some conditions can be aggravated or made worse by these alternatives and some people cannot take these for medical reasons.

Other natural remedies for arthritis also include those found within the food you eat and the drinks you consume. They also include dietary changes. Your doctor may advise you to incorporate one or more of the following in your daily eating and drinking regime:
